Residential Photo Album: Sinking Front Concrete Exposing Foundation, Brampton, ON
Front steps tend to sink when the soil softens beneath or some voids weaken them. This home in Brampton, Ontario, had a step that was sinking down and to the left allowing water to pool at the bottom and against the wall of the home. The sinking occurred along the step and where the bottom of the porch is, which raised concern for the homeowners. There had been so much sinking that the owners decided to put an extra step between for a temporary fix. Thankfully, the concrete was in great condition, so all that had to be done was level it back to its original height. The homeowners called our Canadian Concrete Leveling team to see their options, which is when our Project Manager, Danny Dos Santos, came to the home for a better look. Based on the amount of sinking, the best solution was our PolyLevel® injection system. With the help of our Installation Specialists, here are the results:
