Settled Walkway in Aurora, ON

A home in Aurora, Ontario, had sinking concrete on the back patio and side walkway. The concrete had sunk about 2.5 inches and the slabs were sloping towards the foundation. After heavy rains, water would pool in both areas. The customer was concerned that if this continued to happen, the water would eventually make its way into the basement and cause bigger problems.

The customer called Canadian Concrete Levelng. Our Project Lead met with the customer and he suggested our PolyLevel Injection System.  Billy McKeown and the installation team used PolyLevel® and NexusPro® Joint Sealant. PolyLevel® lifted and leveled the back patio and side walkway. The NexusPro Joint sealant was applied between the slabs and the house to protect the foundation from water penetration. The customer is grateful that water is no longer flowing towards the house.

Void Leads to Cracked Garage Floor in Pickering, Ontario

Receiving upsetting news about your home is never a good experience. You put your money and trust into a contractor, and if they’re wrong, it could end up costing you thousands.

A customer in Pickering, Ontario, reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling about his cracked garage floor. A different company told him he would need to remove the entire floor and have it repoured. After meeting with Project Manager Paul Mendell, he realized that wasn’t true.

After Paul showed him how our PolyLevel® system works, the client booked a repair date. Foreman Kyle McKeown started by drilling dime-sized holes as injection ports into the floor. He injected our high-density polyurethane beneath the concrete to fill the void and compress fill soils below. Once the repair was done, Kyle patched the holes with fresh concrete.

The customer is thrilled that he decided to call Canadian Concrete Leveling rather than go with the original company. He saved himself thousands of dollars and had the work done in one day rather than one week.

Cracks and Sinking Concrete Causes Safety Hazard in Creemore, Ontario

Nothing beats lounging around a pool in the summer. It’s something we look forward to during the colder months, but for a Creemore, Ontario, customer shifting concrete put her summer plans on hold.

Over time her concrete pool deck had shifted, creating numerous cracks and tripping hazards. Concerned for the safety of family and friends, she reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling, looking for a solution that would save her from having to redo the entire patio.

Project Manager Joe McColl met with the customer and created a plan to restore the concrete. Foreman Bill McKeown and Installation Specialist Greg Sigalis used PolyLevel® injections to lift the concrete and fill the voids beneath. They also sealed the cracks using our NexusPro® sealant.

The customer is pleased that her pool deck is safe once again, and she no longer has to worry about cracks. She also saved the money and time of replacing the whole deck.

Eliminating Walkway Tripping Hazards in Newmarket, ON

A home in Newmarket, Ontario had a front and side walkway that had sunk over the years. The front walkway had fallen 3 inches from the initial pour and was causing a trip hazard as the step up to the front porch was now 11 inches. The customer stated that water would pool on the front walkway as it was no longer sloping away from the patio. With water pooling on the walkway, there was also a slip hazard in the winter when the water would freeze.

The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling and talked to John DiNicolantonio; our Project Manager to explain what would be done to fix the issues. Billy McKeown and Kyle McKeown, our Poly Foremen, came in and drilled small dime sized holes through the concrete and used our PolyLevel® Injection Foam underneath the slabs. The foam followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the foam to lift the walkways and protect them from a further settlement. The PolyLevel® lifted and leveled both the front and side walkways. The steps are now much more manageable, and water no longer pools on the front walkway.
