Canadian Concrete Leveling Job Stories

Not many people may think about the struggles someone may have getting around on their own. Our customer in Markham, Ontario, had a mobility disability and struggled with using the front walkway of their home. The concrete slabs had settled creating trip hazards and forcing water to pool near the garage causing water damage. The primary concern was that the uneven concrete could cause serious injuries. Also, they were looking to sell the house in the near future and wanted it fixed.   After reaching out to Canadian Concrete Leveling an appointment was set up with System Design Specialist, Ron Monk. Ron recommended installing Polyurethane and NexusPro™ Sealant. The Polyurethane allows our team to lift and level settled concrete, the Polyurethane pushes down on the loose soils underneath and raises the slab eliminating trip hazards. The NexusPro™ Sealant is injected along the expanded joints and cracks to seal the concrete preventing water from seeping through.   Our customer is happy that the concrete is leveled and that our team has eliminated all the tripping hazards. The walkway is now safe and the home is ready to sell shortly.

Our customer in Markham, Ontario, had a concern with a concrete slab located on the right side of their home. The slab had sunken near the house, directing rainwater towards the foundation. Our customer's concern was that the pooling water would lead to further damages. Also, on top of the slab sat a pool heater and a pump. Since the heater was sitting at an angle, the flame was not aiming where it was supposed to, resulting in damaging the heater.   Our customer knew to call Canadian Concrete Leveling, after previously having a job completed by our company. An appointment was then set up with Project Lead, Paul Mendell. Paul advised our customer about all the benefits Polyurethane would do to fix their issue. Kyle and Steve, injected our expanding Polyurethane under the concrete.   How does Polyurethane work? Polyurethane fills the voids underneath the slab, then lifts and stabilizes the concrete back to the original height.   Our customer was pleased with the job. The slab is now stabilized and ready for a new pool heater. Water is no longer directed towards the home giving our customer peace of mind that no future damage will occur.

The homeowner was devastated that her 97-year-old father had tripped on her walkway last year. He could no longer risk stepping onto the hazardous stairs with his walker. He refused to leave the house due to his fear of falling. This customer in Toronto, Ontario, was experiencing heaving in their garage floor. A large, significant crack was forming along the floor of their garage. Noticeably getting worse year by year, the crack had already shifted enough to create a 1-inch lip in the floor. An obvious tripping hazard and not one that you want in a garage where you store your belongings. Limiting access to their storage space and wreaking havoc on their peace of mind, the customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling for help. Installation Foreman Bill McKeown and his team arrived on the Jobsite and immediately began their meticulous process of releveling the concrete. After small holes are drilled down into the concrete, we inject our robust and patented material PolyLevel® underneath the concrete filling in the voids and then lifting the entire slab. After raising the slab 1 inch and making the garage accessible again, the customer was elated to have their space back.

Washago, ON, homeowners noticed that half of their back patio was slanting towards the home. Next, they found a crack right in the middle – one side was levelled, and the other seemed to be sinking toward the house. Not thinking anything of it, the following day, there was heavy rainfall. They saw the water sloping down the patio and pooling at the home's foundation. It was time to call professionals to handle this before it got worse and started leaking into the basement. Our Project Manager arrived at the home and explained how the concrete would be lifted with minimal disruption, with long-lasting results. In Ajax, Ontario, our clients had a wonderful back patio that they love using every summer. They often entertain and lounge on the deck. Mike M. noticed that his swimming pool deck started to sink unevenly and began pulling the coping liner away from the swimming pool. Canadian Concrete Leveling had an instant fix for this pool and tripping hazard. The solution included using PolyLevel® to even out the deck. This miracle fix compound is made up of high-density polyurethane. Upon the injection of PolyLevel®, the chemical compound begins to expand to fill the void causing the unlevel concrete. Thanks to the PolyLevel® injection, not only has the initial issue been alleviated, but now any trip hazards have also been eliminated. Now Mike is to enjoy his swimming pool deck once again. This customer in Kinmount, Ontario, wanted to ensure that their quaint little country store was safe and secure. Committed to serving the community for many more years to come, they needed to ensure that the structure's health was in check for the upcoming winter season. Our PolyLevel® technology was used to safely bring the entire floor and building foundation back to level. Penetrating and spreading underneath the concrete, not only does our polyurethane injection get the floor back to a level grade, but it also bonds the concrete in place, ensuring it is secure for many more years of harsh winter conditions.

Concrete pool decks are known to settle as the overflow of the water rinses out the loose soils under the concrete. That's exactly what had happened to our customer in Peterborough, Ontario. Their concrete pool deck had settled causing their waterfall to flow backwards and flood the nearby garden instead of into the pool. They were in need of a permanent fix!   An appointment was set up with Project Manager for Canadian Concrete Leveling, Paul Mendell. Our customer addressed their concerns to Paul, and he provided a cost-efficient solution. Bill, Team Leader and Installation Specialist Kenny, injected Polyurethane under the sunken concrete to fill voids and lift and stabilize the deck.   Due to the extreme added weight of the waterfall rocks, our team recommended installing an airbag mat-jack to support the waterfall rocks. The water now flows into the pool instead of flooding their nearby garden. The installation was quick, and our customer was delighted to have the waterfall working correctly again.

Dale B. started to notice some of the slabs on his concrete dock began to sink noticeably. These sunken slabs were an issue as they posed a tripping hazard, and it became increasingly unsafe and uncomfortable to sit on chairs on the dock. Dale contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling looking for a means to solve this dangerous problem. To level the sunken slabs with the concrete dock, our patented PolyLevel® Injection System was implemented.
