Polyurethane Injection in Oakville, ON

This walkway on the side of our customer’s home posed a significant tripping hazard. Also, the concrete had sloped towards the foundation which could cause water to pool damaging the house. Luckily, Canadian Concrete Leveling had the perfect solution for the settled and sinking concrete. Polyurethane was injected to lift and stabilize the customer's walkway. The transformation is incredible!

Front Step is a Lot Larger than Before, Oakville, ON

This home in Oakville, ON, had a front walkway that had become a big tripping hazard. The final portion toward the staircase had started to sink, making the step up onto the first step much more prominent than usual. The hazard was added on rainy and cold days as water would pool up and then freeze, making not only a tripping hazard but a slipping one. The concrete was in great condition and did not need to be replaced. The homeowners were looking for a solution that would be cost-effective yet level the walkway back to its original height; that was when they found Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our Project Manager, Danny Dos Santos, went to the home to conduct our company's free inspection. He discovered that if the homeowners were to leave the concrete the way it was, water would eat away at the support underneath the staircase, causing more damage. Danny recommended were our PolyLevel® injection system to lift the concrete back up and then our NexusPro® sealant to seal the joints. After everything was mapped out and finalized, our installation foreman and specialist arrived. Our system is not only cost-effective, but it is quick curing, minimally invasive, and permanent. The duo began drilling small dime-sized holes into the base of the steps where the injections would occur. The leveling process was simple since the polyurethane being pumped under the concrete can lift and cure on a short amount of tie. After the concrete was levelled, it was time to seal the injection holes with grout for a seamless look once everything was done. Now it is time to fill the joints with our NexusPro®. The difference with Nexus and competing brands is that this sealant does not dry out, crack, is malleable, and is colour-matched for a perfect finish. The results were terrific; take a look for yourself!

Side Walkway Causing Hazard, Oakville, ON

A home in Oakville, Ontario, had problems at the side of the home. There was a section at the side of the house, apart of the pool deck that had sunk 1.5” causing a trip hazard with the adjacent slabs.

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems and spoke to John DiNicolantonio, the Project Lead, who explained everything that would be done. The Canadian Concrete Leveling Foreman , Billy McKeown, drilled small, dime sized holes through the concrete and injected our PolyLevel polyurethane underneath the slabs. It followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the polyurethane to lift the walkway to protect them from further settlement and eliminate trip hazards.

Sinking Front Steps Force Elderly Parents to Stop Visiting in Georgetown, Ontario

Doing what we can for our families is essential to most people. We take care of our kids when they’re sick, and we do what we can to make our parent's lives more comfortable as they grow older.

A customer in Georgetown, Ontario, had a sinking front step that was causing some trouble. The homeowner’s elderly parents would often visit but walking up the steps was becoming more of a challenge each time.

After reaching out to Canadian Concrete Leveling, the customer met with Project Manager Paul Mendell. Paul showed him how our PolyLevel® system could lift and level concrete, and the customer booked a date for the repair.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane to lift and level the concrete. He injected the solution through dime-sized holes where it expands beneath the concrete, lifting the slab and compressing fill soils. To complete the repair, Kyle patched the holes with fresh concrete.

The homeowner is very happy that the steps are safe for his parents again, and he’s glad he didn’t wait any longer to fix the problem.
