Tilted Steps and Walkway Sunken Towards Foundation, Stayner, ON
A home in Stayner, Ontario had a walkway that sank towards the home and the steps had also sank, tilting down.  Rainwater was running towards the foundation wall and the homeowner was worried it would leak into the basement. The top step of the porch was too high and the homeowner knew it was difficult for their older parent to use the steps.  The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling and spoke to Paul Mendell who explained the solution we had to their problem. Bill Mckeown and Kyle Mckeown came and used PolyLevel Foam and Nexus Pro Sealant. We injected the high density, structural grade polymer, to lift and stabilize the walkway and front steps. After leveling, the sealant was applied along the home wall and around the steps. The walkway was lifted and stabilized back to its original pour level, so that water runs away from the home. The steps were lifted back to correct height and straightened. Applying Nexus Pro Sealant afterwards, ensured that no water could penetrate between the walkway and wall, as well as behind or under the steps.  The customer was satisfied with the job and it gave them the peace of mind that their steps were now safely back to the correct height and that no water could get down the foundation wall.
Sloping Concrete Causing Hazards and Possible Water Seepage, Bolton, ON
A home in Bolton, Ontario had problems located at both the front and side of the house. The concrete walkway that surrounds most of the house was sinking in various areas causing tripping hazards in the walkway. When the concrete patio was poured the substrate was not properly compacted/compressed. Over time the weight of the concrete has further compressed the loose substrate—leading to the sinking and cracking in the patio. With the concrete sloping towards the home it allowed for rainwater to pool along the foundation which could lead to a basement water. The uneven concrete was a safety hazard as the customer’s parents lived in the home as well. The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling and talked to John DiNicolantonio who explained our solution to the problem. Kyle McKeown came in and used our PolyLevel Foam System. It is injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding foam compresses the substrate and then lifts the concrete, thus ensuring that the area is protected from further settlement. The customer is satisfied that all the tripping hazards have been removed and the walkway now slopes away from the home.
Walkway Trip Hazard and Eyesore, Etobicoke, ON
A home in Etobicoke, Ontario, had a problem located at the front of the home along the walkway leading to the front door. The front walkway had sunk over time and was severely sloping towards the home. The customers were thinking of selling the home and the walkway is both a safety hazard and an eyesore. When is rains hard,  the water runs towards the foundation, leaving the customer susceptible to a basement leak. In 2013, the customer incurred major damages in their basement due to the heavy summer rains so they are very aware that the sloping concrete can lead to further, more serious problems. The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling, and spoke to John DiNicolantonio. He explained everything that would be done and then Billy McKeown came in and fixed the problem. He used our PolyLevel Foam System. It was injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding foam is compress the substrate and lift the concrete to ensure the area is protected from further settlement. We drilled small dime sized holes through the concrete and injected our PolyLevel Foam underneath the slabs. The foam followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the foam to lift the patio and walkway to protect them from further settlement. The customer was extremely happy that we could complete the job in such a short time frame and that we could do so in such a cost effective manner. They were concerned that they would have to replace the the walkway and were very happy that we were able to work with what they already had to fix the problem.

Cracked Concrete Created a Trip Hazard, Toronto, ON
A home in Toronto, Ontario had a sinking slab on the front walkway. The walkway had cracked across the middle and one half of the slab was sinking towards the crack creating a trip hazard and causing water to pool on the walkway after heavy rain. During the winter the pooling water in this area would freeze and cause a slip hazard as well. The customer wanted this to be fixed so that there would be no more safety hazard.  The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling to fix the problem. John DiNicolantonio explained to the customer that it would be a quick fix and comes with complete warranty. Billy McKeown and the team used PolyLevel Foam System to level the walkway, eliminating the trip hazard. The foam travels through the voids underneath the concrete and expands, allowing for us to lift the slab and stabilize the substrate to prevent further settlement. They covered the crack with NexusPro Joint Sealant to prevent water from making its way between the slabs again. The customer is left with a safe and usable walkway. They were very pleased that they could have the walkway fixed at a fraction of the cost of concrete replacement.

Branksome Hall, a school in Toronto, Ontario had uneven pavement on the walkway of the school. There were some slabs that were uneven and not leveled with each other. There were also some slabs slanted towards a hill and that was causing students to slip off the pathway and down the hill during the winter. This was becoming a serious safety issue. The owner of the school called Canadian Concrete Leveling to come fix these hazards before the school year started up again.  Our Canadian Concrete Leveling team came in and drilled dime sized holes in the affected areas. They then pumped PolyLevel injection foam into the holes to fill the space under the concrete to lift and stabilize the slabs. Warehouse Lifted and Leveled using PolyLevel® in Toronto, ON
Contracting Company in Toronto, ON, needed to have their sinking concrete flooring lifted and leveled in their warehouse. Due to the heavy equipment brought in and out of the warehouse, it caused the foundation underneath the concrete floors to sink. They knew that the problem would only get worse and worse and eventually, the floor would sink to the point where it would be nearly impossible to move their equipment out of the warehouse. Luckily for them, they knew who to contact. The owners called Canadian Concrete Leveling for their free estimate where shortly after, Project Manager, Paul Mendell went to the site to assess the damage. He concluded that a PolyLevel® Injection would lift and level the concrete back to its original height. Once there was a plan set, Installation Foreman, Bill McKeown and his crew got to work. They injected the Polyurethane into the floor and lifted and leveled the concrete back to its initial stature. Now, the owners are contented that they can safely and efficiently utilize their warehouse once again.
Sinking Patio Slab with a Fast Fix, Woodbridge, ON
A home in Woodbridge, Ontario, had a problem located at the back of the home on the patio. The concrete patio at the back of the house was sinking towards the foundation. When the concrete patio was poured, the substrate was not properly compacted/compressed. Over time the weight of the concrete has further compressed the loose substrate, leading to the sinking and cracking in the patio. The customer had just purchased the home 6 months prior to our appointment. He was concerned that the water pooling at the foundation may lead to a problem in the basement. John DiNicolantonio, the Project Lead, explained everything that would be done to fix the sinking concrete. Billy McKeown and the Canadian Concrete Leveling team came in and used our PolyLevel Foam System. Our PolyLevel Foam System is injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding foam compresses the substrate and then lifts the concrete, thus ensuring that the area is protected from further settlement. We drilled small dime sized holes through the concrete and injected our PolyLevel Foam underneath the slabs. The foam followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the foam to lift the patio back to level and help protect the area from further settlement. The customer is satisfied as the water no longer pools along the back of the house and they have been left with a level and usable patio.
